This book has been compared to "50 Shades of Grey," and it begins very similarly -- with a novice Journalist interviewing a far more experienced and worldly man. However, this is really where the similarities end. Lucas, "call me Luke," comes across as boyishly charming. He is confident and definitely goes after what he wants; yet at the same time, he is able to gracefully accept advice -- and sometimes gentle chastisement -- from his agent. It is difficult to imagine Christian Grey ever asking Anna to call him Chris! |
"From the First Touch" is available in a series of consecutive parts that continue the original story-line. In its entirely, I found the novella to be very well-written with well-developed characters and a plot that flows smoothly. I was only disappointed that it ended so soon. I felt that there were many more possibilities that could have been explored between the main characters. ★★★
